Marissa Hunt grew up in San Antonio, Texas and attended the University of North Texas in Denton, where she earned a degree in Strategic Communications. With an interest in working in the nonprofit sector and a love for the outdoors, she moved to Durango in 2017 to serve an AmeriCorps term with The Garden Project of Southwest Colorado. After falling for the wonders of the Southwest and her Colorado community, she is grateful that her journey led her to Manna and is happy to be planting her roots in Durango. Her work at Manna includes client services, SNAP outreach, and marketing, allowing her to blend her varied background of communication, education, public service, and food security. In her free time, Marissa is an artist, musician, and avid outdoorswoman who has her dog, Rigby, in tow with her as often as possible.
