Loc Tran was born and raised in Oklahoma where he graduated with a bachelors in botany in 2016. Afterwards he served as a food security volunteer with Peace Corps Nepal from 2017-2019. While in Nepal he worked with rural farmers to improve on sustainable and nutrition sensitive agriculture. After returning to the states, Loc served as an Americorps service member with Montezuma School to Farm Project as a garden coordinator. While there he helped maintain gardens at elementary schools and taught garden classes to students in grades K-5. He joined Manna in 2020 as an Americorps service member to continue his path of servicing communities in need.
