Originally from Denver, Chris relocated to Durango in 2017. After experiencing 21 years of active addiction, as well as chronic homelessness, Chris, motivated by the loss of friends and family to overdose, decided to change the trajectory of his life. Chris is an active member in the recovery community in Durango and works for Young People in Recovery as the Durango Chapter Lead and Program Coordinator, where he strives to be part of the solution, and no longer part of the problem. He has a passion for helping others, leveraging his past struggles to better serve those in the community. Chris studied Business Management at Stevens Hennager College and is trained as a Peer Recovery Coach.
