Please support Manna’s effort to grow more fresh, nutrient dense and culturally important vegetables for our community this season by sponsoring a row at one of Manna’s gardens. Your generous donations will support our production as we increase capacity at Manna Garden and Carver Farm. Donations will support the cost of seeds, supplies, utilities, irrigation infrastructure, transportation and staff time needed throughout the growing season.
Moniker Foundation has pledged a donation of $5000 if Manna raises $10,000 by October 31st, 2022. We aim to reach this goal and increase your donation by 50% through this match.
Grow-A-Row @ The Manna Garden – $100 sponsorship: The Manna Garden encompasses ¼ acre of production space with an orchard and 32 raised beds. This garden has two greenhouses that we use to grow the highly sought-after warm weather crops such as tomatoes, peppers, basil, cucumbers, and eggplants. In the outside beds we focus on specialty greens and culinary herbs.
Grow-A-Row @ Carver Farm – $250 sponsorship: The Carver Farm is an ideal 2-acre plot located in the Animas Valley. We are planning 1 acre of production this year in 50, 100-foot beds. We produce onions, garlic, carrots, beets, parsnips, potatoes, broccoli, cabbage, kale, chard, lettuces, chilies, tomatoes, tomatillos, winter and summer squash, dry beans and flint corn.
In 2021, Manna grew 7772 pounds of produce for food insecure community members. Our goal for 2022 is to produce 12,000 pounds. Your contribution will make this goal achievable. In honor of your support, we will place a personalized sign at the foot of the sponsored garden row.
